Abstract:The Chaoshan region has numerous and well-preserved Sanshan King Temple remains, which are characterized by their distinctive local features and serve as a concrete spatial representation of architectural heritage conservation in the area. While fulfilling the needs of religious rituals, these temples also profoundly reflect the regional environment, local customs, and the everyday emotions of the local people. Based on literature research and on-site investigations, this article examines the spatial features of Sanshan King Temples from three aspects: spatial form, spatial structure, and spatial decoration. By analyzing and summarizing their site selection, layout, timber framing, and decoration, the study further interprets the heritage value of these temples in terms of their adaptation to the natural and cultural environment, the specific manifestation of their construction wisdom, and the continuation of the Central Plains traditional culture in a localized context. This provides theoretical guidance for the preservation and development of Sanshan King Temple architectural heritage．
