Abstract:Wanshou Temple is a national key cultural relic protection unit. The main building in the temple, Wanshou Tower attic, is a loft-style building rebuilt in 2002. With the collection and supplement of literature about Wanshou Tower attic in recent years, the author found that the architectural form of the rebuilted Wanshou Tower attic is slightly different from that of Qing Dynasty Wanshou Tower atti. Based on some unearthed stone building components from the fifth overhaul of Wanshou Temple, this paper investigates the differences between the reconstructed Wanshou Tower attic and the Qing Dynasty Wanshou Tower attic platform and the Structure of Taiming Dynasty through photo comparison, physical measurement and standards for ancient buildings reasoning, and draws the plan, south elevation, north elevation, east elevation and west elevation, which provides a basis for restoring the original architectural appearance.
