Abstract:Qingcheng Palace is located in the north of the east gate of XianNongtan,was built in 1458. Its main hall as the core building of the complex,carpentry work has obvious characteristics of the Ming Dynasty. By combing historical materials and combining with the basic structural characteristics of the main hall of Qingcheng Palace,this paper tries to interpret the design methods of carpentry work in the main hall of Qingcheng Palace from three aspects: the arrangement of columns,raising the purlin and dougong,to explore the connection and transition between the building standards of the Song,Qing and Ming dynasties.
