Abstract:Guangcheng Garden was a royal garden in the suburb of Luoyang in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Its landscape content was the same as that of the suburban gardens in the Western Han Dynasty, which was mainly based on natural mountains and rivers. However, due to the different social and political situations in the West and East Han, the service function of the Guangcheng Yuan underwent a great change. This change caused the transformation of the relationship between the imperial gardens and the capital city, which had an important turning point in the history of the ancient capital of China.Through literature research, this paper investigates and analyzes the geographical location and landscape features of Guangcheng Yuan, and on this basis,probes into its social function and its relationship with the capital.
