Abstract:This paper takes Hubei temples in the period from the Jin dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties as the research object,and analyzes the temporal distribution of Hubei temples in the period on the basis of data statistics by crawling through Hubei local chronicles and other materials,and explores the reasons for the formation of these characteristics. The results show that: (1) from the four time periods from the Jin dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties,the number of temples built in Hubei showed a steady increase from the Jin dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties; (2) most of the early Hubei temples were mainly newly built,and the proportion of rebuilt temples increased as time moved back; (3) the temporal characteristics of the distribution of Buddhist temples were influenced by three aspects,such as politics,economy and culture,showing a positive correlation;
