Abstract:The government garden is an important part of the ancient Chinese garden. Since there remains no complete gardens in the Song Dynasty,the ruins of the government garden in the Song Dynasty excavated in the Eastern city of Luoyang undoubtedly provide a typical example for the study of the architectural layout and overall style of the government garden in the Northern Song Dynasty. Taking the archaeological excavation report as the foundation of restoration,and combining with the data of construction background,related Paintings of Song Dynasty,building codes and existing relics as the basis and reference for restoration,this paper makes a preliminarily discussion on the plane layout,monomer building and spatial form of the ruins. The plane layout and monomer building of the ruins are preliminarily discussed,and the author explores the design ideas of this site with the aim to analyze buildings,plants,water landscapes and imaginative space,which sumps up its characteristics of landscape and landscape artistic conception,and serve as a reference for the plane restoration of the government garden and the exploration of the government garden of Northern Song Dynasty.
