Abstract:From the perspective of construction techniques, this paper classifies traditional oil working tools for official buildings in the northern Ming and Qing dynasties. By combining research methods such as on-site investigation of paint process operations, artisan interviews, and historical literature surveys, this paper discusses in detail the shape and usage characteristics of tools under the operating procedures of flooring, oil decoration, and gilding processes. It also discusses the impact of modern changes in traditional oil painting tools on the operation process, and explores the practical problems of artisans, craftsmanship, and tools in social development.
