Abstract:During the period of the Nanjing Nationalist Government, the political situation was relatively stable and economic education developed rapidly. The Department of Architecture in a comprehensive university, as the beginning of China's higher architectural education, not only reflects the influence of Western architectural history theory, but also reflects the direct progress of traditional architectural research in China, representing the ideological trajectory and guiding direction of the development of domestic architectural history during the Republic of China period. Therefore, this article focuses on the academic arrangement, teaching staff, and teaching content that have a fundamental impact on the evolution of architectural history courses,attempting to reveal important nodes and historical context in the development of architectural history research during the Republic of China period.
