Abstract:The Yuanjue Hall of Fuqing Temple in Jingxing County is a typical temple architecturein the Taihang Mountains, exertingunique local practices. Although it is geographically located in Hebei Province, it presents a distinct architectural style of the Shanxi Province. In the present study, we introduced the local practices of the Yuanjue Hall of Fuqing Temple, and analyzed the specific practices and techniques of the Dougong, fly rafters, cornice and ridge of the Yuanjue Hall through on-site investigation and comparisonwith the official style practices inthe Qing Dynasty. Our research provides references for analyzing local practices of wooden architecture in the Taihang Mountains during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
