Abstract:The traditional courtyard landscape of Xijingyu Village in Tianjin is a typical regional residential dwelling. It has accumulated ecological and cultural concepts in construction techniques and can meet the basic living needs of local residents. However, with the development of society, people have raised their higher requirements for the living environment. This paper aims to summarize the real needs of the traditional courtyard landscape in Xijingyu Village, guide the traditional courtyard landscape using the theory of“living renewal”and promote the inheritance and innovation of Dry stone masonry techniques to achieve the goal of optimizing the traditional courtyard landscape. The paper lists the ways to improve the village living environment that comform with the concept of living inheritance, in order to provide feasible design references for the living-heritage inheritance of the traditional courtyard landscape.
