Abstract:The provincial cultural relics protection unit Yongshun Xie Ancestral Hall is located in Liandong Village, Lingxi Town, Yongshun County, Western Hunan. It was built in 1867 and is a "four-way" courtyard building. It is a typical representative of Hunan's traditional ancestral hall architecture. During the period of the land revolution, the Red Two and Red Six Corps of the Red Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants left the largest existing Red Army propaganda slogan in Western Hunan and even Hunan Province on the volcanic walls on both sides of the ancestral hall in order to fight against the warlords of Western Hunan. The temple was also preserved later. The unique architectural art, history and social values of the ancestral hall were explored through the study of its architectural ontology and its evolution under the influence of the "Red Army" slogan culture.
