Abstract:The Five Bamboo Pavilion is located in the Western Park of Yuanming Yuan. It is a landscape architecture adopting Chinese style. Based on the research of the current situation of the five bamboo pavilion and the existing documents related to it, the paper examines the changes of the five bamboo pavilion’s construction, architectural structure, and decoration characteristics, and focuses on the production, specific methods and methods of its bamboo-imitative construction. Its interpretation is studied, and at the same time, it is compared with the Juanqin Room in The Forbidden City, and Zhulu Shanfang in Jingming Garden. In summary, its bamboo-imitative construction is a phenomenon commonly used in imperial architectures in the mid-Qing Dynasty.
