Abstract:The Earthen castles are residential defense buildings built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in central Fujian. They are composed of internal residences and external castle walls. At present, most of them are in an abandoned state. The Dunren castle is an earthen castle in Qingshui Township, Yong'an City. It is an extension of the courtyard-style folk house. According to its damaged status, this paper studies its construction process and puts forward its repair and utilization scheme according to the development trend of urbanization.
