Abstract:The comprehensive surveying and mapping project of the Palace of Accumulated Purity (Zhongcui gong) explored the applications of three different technologies, namely 3D laser scanning, digital close-range photogrammetry and manual surveying, in the process of information collection of ancient architecture. Through comparison, the accuracy of the data is verified, and the typical drawings of individual buildings in the Palace of Accumulated Purity courtyard are drawn. After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the three technologies in many aspects, the appropriate technology for surveying and mapping are put forwards according to the actual needs.
