Abstract:The double-stem Lonicera scallop is a kind of exotic decoration, which originated from the Lotus pattern in ancient Egypt, evolved in ancient Greece and Rome, and then was introduced into history of India with Buddhism. The double-stem Lonicera Japonica is a kind of decoration with two symmetrical“S”-shaped stem veins as the main skeleton structure, which forms the wavy swirl pattern, and many in the form of corner decoration. According to the characteristics of head composition, neck contact, tail extension and the number of honeysuckle leaves, it can be divided into many types of expression, the smooth form and the special decoration characteristic of combining the movement and the static, which is suitable for the wave arc, are the important reasons why it is widely used in the decoration of the ancient buildings of the Palace Museum.
