Abstract:As a place for worshipping ancestors, ancestral halls have been male shrines since ancient times. For Women, ancestral halls symbolize punishment and shackles. The Mrs. Wang Temple, located in Bailu village, southern Jiangxi Province, is a rare temple dedicated to women in the country. It is one of the few“Her buildings” in ancient times, with unique architectural style and rich cultural connotation, and has high research value. From the perspective of“Her architecture” and the social background of existence, this paper discusses the origin and architectural features of the Ancestral Hall of Mrs. Wang, with a view to enriching the study of ancient Chinese architectural culture.
