Abstract:Zhihua Temple, as an Orthodox building of the Ming Dynasty, is a typical example of the construction techniques of official buildings of the Ming Dynasty. What is most fascinating about Zhihua Temple is the large number of colorful paintings of early Ming Dynasty buildings left in the eaves of the palaces, the Ming Dynasty colored paintings on the eaves of the existing halls in Zhihua Temple are very elegant and solemn, and are an important example of the study of the northern color paintings of the Ming Dynasty. In this paper, the characteristics of Ming Dynasty Architectural Color Paintings in Zhihua Temple Zhihua Temple are discussed from the aspects of color, composition, decoration and Buddhist themes.
