Abstract:Xujiaqiao Ming Dynasty General Office is the largest and most complete Ming Dynasty General Office in Hunan Province. The General Office has retained the overall pattern, which was built in the Ming Dynasty, and the spatial combination of the group buildings is rich in variety, and the shape of the“Heavy door”, “Heavy hall” and“Parallel axis” is unique, among them, the wooden frame structure of“The Gate Tower of the General Hall”, “The hall of two entrances” and“The Middle Hall of the Ancestral Hall of the Xu family” shows the architectural features of the Ming Dynasty, while the general office has been renovated in the past dynasties, and its noumenon records the architectural historical features information of different times, it has important historical value and architectural research value. Through the study and analysis of the site selection of the house foundation of the General Mansion, the architectural plane form and the large wooden components, this paper provides a reference for the study of the characteristics, evolution and chronology of the Ming Dynasty Architecture in Hunan Province, at the same time, it provides constructive strategies and suggestions for the activation and protection of the general government.
