Abstract:Between the traditional village and the ordinary village, there are still many villages with certain traditional resources, which constitute the base of the rural historical and cultural environment, and face more serious survival threat because of neglect. The evaluation is the foundation of protection, especially the core of historical value, but the current traditional village identification standard lacks the consideration of regional type, and the focus on integrity is also insufficient. Therefore, based on the status quo of the historical heritage in rural areas of Taizhou, the present national evaluation system is adjusted by regionalization: Emphasizing the integrity of regional features as the evaluation criterion of historical value, separating the evaluation of type of features from the evaluation of integrity; Select key events as anchor points for feature description. The study suggests that the understanding of“Traditional villages” in developed areas should be generalized, and facing and discriminating the middle zone will be beneficial to the protection of Traditional Cultural Foundation.
