灰塑是广府地区特有的一种传统建筑营造与装饰技艺。灰塑适合广府地区的气候特点，又因其制作成本较低，普遍使用在广府民居、祠堂，作为装饰，表达着人们对福寿安康、儿孙满堂等美好的盼望，同时起到一定保护建筑的作用。灰塑的制作工艺是广府地区长久以来人民智慧的结晶，不仅造型精美、题材广泛，还结合彩绘，为广府传统建筑增添了艳丽夺目而活泼的色彩，是岭南建筑技术与艺术结合的产物。

Plaster sculpture is a kind of unique traditional building construction and decoration technique in Guangfu area. Because of its low production cost, it is widely used in the folk houses and ancestral halls of Guangzhou as decoration, expressing people's hope for good health, children and grandchildren, etc. , at the same time play a certain role in protecting the building. The craftwork of the plaster moulds is the crystallization of the wisdom of the people in the district of Guangfu for a long time. Not only are they exquisitely shaped and cover a wide range of subjects, but they are also combined with colored paintings to add bright and lively colors to the traditional buildings of Guangfu, it is the product of the combination of Lingnan architectural technology and art.
