Abstract:As one of the most distinctive buildings of the Qiang Village, the watchtower bears witness to the hard life of Qiang and is a symbol of the ancient Qiang culture. It has a high historical value. This paper studies the distribution and architectural form of the existing blockhouses in Buwa village rammed in yellow mud by consulting historical documents and surveying and Mapping on the spot. This paper sums up the architectural status and functional characteristics of the blockhouse heritage in Buwa village, and puts forward some suggestions on its maintenance and development, which is of great significance to the preservation and inheritance of Qiang's traditional culture.
