Abstract:“Brick” as a building material has thonds of years of history in our country, the invention of brick improved the quality of ancient Chinese architecture, extended the building life. The earliest examples of bricks used in architecture are the architectural ruins of the Western Zhou Dynasty. By the Qin and Han dynasties, the brick and tile industry was undergoing initial development. Qin Shi Huang built civil buildings to build palaces and tombs, and green bricks were used to build steps, treads, arches, and paving floors, with the development of the Times, more and more mature firing technology to improve the quality and output of bricks and tiles, bricks are more and more wall, ground building materials. To the Sui and Tang dynasties, brick and tile technology is more mature, walls, towers, and more and more to use brick masonry. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, brick-making and brick-using were widely used, and brick was also widely used as building materials in folk architecture.
