Abstract:The ancient bridges on the Grand Canal in Shandong Province are important part of China's Grand Canal, which is a world cultural heritage and has important research significance. In this paper, ten canal ancient bridges in Shandong Province, namely Yuexi Bridge, Huitong Bridge (Linqing), Wenjin Bridge, Yingchun Bridge, Shuimen Bridge, Huitong Bridge (Jining), Taihe Bridge, Xia Bridge, Dashiqiao Bridge and Caojing Bridge, are selected as the research objects. They are analyzed from five aspects about the arch of the bridge: form, structural characteristics, material and scale relationship. And the five characteristics of the ancient canal arch of Shandong canal are summed up.
