Abstract:The unique natural environment, climatic characteristics and the wide distribution of raw earth materials in the southwest minority areas have resulted in the diversification of raw earth building types, which include ecology, art, culture, technology and humanities. Taking Radish village in Wenchuan County as an example, this paper analyzes the practical problems existing in the development of its native settlement through field investigation and data collation, and on this basis, puts forward the renewal strategy for the suitability of native settlement in Radish village. In this way, it can be used for reference for the protection and renewal of native soil buildings in southwest minority areas.
