Abstract:In the northwest corner of Beihai Park stands a group of magnificent architectural complexes. This group of ancient buildings is the "Xiaoxitian" complex, and the centre tetragonum hall is the "Guanyin Hall". "Xiaoxitian" was built in the 38th year of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. Before 1985, the "Xiaoxitian" complex was dilapidated due to disrepair and neglect. In order to better preserve this precious historical relics, a comprehensive renovation of the "Xiaoxitian" complex. This paper introduces the technical difficulties in the construction from three aspects: The general parts census repair, survey of Huatai beam in "Guanyin Hall", design, reinforcement and anti-corrosion and insect prevention of the wooden structure.
