Abstract:Through the study of the ruins of the No.1 and No.2 palaces of Yanshi Erlitou in Henan, a preliminary impression and outline of the Palace architecture of the Shang Dynasty was obtained. The excavation of the architectural site of Shaanxi Fufengzhaochen of the Zhou Dynasty , prove the role of tiles in the Western Zhou Period have greatly emerged. The archaeology of the Yan capital wu Yangtai in Yi County, Hebei province, fully reveals the general picture of the brick and stone terraced building from the Warring States Period to the Western Han Dynasty.
