Abstract:Liaocheng iron Tower was built in the late periods of the Northern Song Dynasty and is one of the few ancient metal buildings in China. Repairs were made during the Chenghua Ming Dynasty, but later damaged again by lightning strikes and earthquakes, and only the three-meter-high stone-made Sumeru seat and the five-story tower remain. In March 1973, the tower was cleaned up, a large number of artifacts were found, and renovations were carried out, but there were many imperfections in the repairs. The tower was repaired again in 1989. According to the particularity of this project, the engineers repeatedly studied and experimented, and adopted a series of new processes.
