Abstract:For the protection of architectural relics, the author advocates treat separately and the implementation of multi-level protection methods, rather than adopting a simplistic "one-size-fits-all" approach. Hierarchical protection refers to different levels of protection mods and methods, different levels of leniency and severity, and different levels of make the past serve the present . Cultural relics are generally protected in three levels. The first level is to strictly keep it as is. The second level basically maintains the original appearance of the building, but allows some parts to be appropriately modified to adapt to the use of modern life, called "ancient construction and new use". The third level is that new buildings and ancient buildings are interspersed with each other, and the coordination of new and old is done.
