1989年12月14日中国营造学社成立六十周年纪念会在北京召开，各界代表出席并发言，大家共同回顾了中国营造学社建立和发展的历史，肯定了中国营造学社为开创我国传统建筑科技事业所做的卓著贡献，赞扬了营造学社及其成员们表现出的爱国主义精神，以及保护、发掘、研究中国优秀建筑文化的艰苦努力和严谨治学的精神。

Abstract:

On December 14, 1989, the 60th anniversary meeting of the establishment of The Society for research in Chinese Architecture was held in Beijing. Representatives from all walks of life attended and made speeches. They reviewed the history of the establishment and development of The Society for research in Chinese Architecture, and affirmed the outstanding contributions made by The Society for research in Chinese Architecture for the development of traditional architectural science and technology in China. It praised the highly patriotic spirit of the Society and its members, as well as the hard work and rigorous scholarship spirit of protecting, exploring and studying Chinese architectural culture.
