Abstract:Pavilions are an important category of traditional Chinese architecture. The most widely used is the pavilion built in the garden for visitors to see, rest and decorate the garden. The pavilion was used in gardens, beginning in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Pavilions have developed in various stages of history in terms of type, shape, and function. The pavilion is generally not large in size, the shape is extremely rich, and the architectural form is varied. This article introduces the construction methods and construction rules of several pavilions and the design and construction techniques of general pavilions.
