Abstract:The environment on both banks of Suzhou Water Lane is elegant and quiet, the black tiles and the powder walls of the people's houses along the river are staggered. The residential pattern of Suzhou building Small Bridge with the shore was formed as early as the Tang Dynasty and tended to be completed by the Song Dynasty. Suzhou Water Lane Wharf on the basis of satisfying the function and taking shape into account, and the harmonious unity of the stone barge and the surrounding environment, so the Suzhou Water Lane Wharf embodies the three words of comely, opportunely and beauty.
