Abstract:Cao Xueqin wrote ‘a Dream of Red Mansions’ from the 9th year to the 24th year of the Qianlong Qing dynasty. It was the most prosperous period of garden construction in Beijing. Literature and art are the reflection of real life, and ‘Grand View Garden’ is the true portrayal of Beijing garden construction and development. From the point of view of architecture, the Grand View Garden is composed of six scenic areas with their own distinctive characteristics, which fully embodies Cao Xueqin's nine gardening ideas.
