A Brief Account of Colour Painting of Temples and Pavilions in Liaoning Province

辽宁庙宇彩画有着悠久的历史，最早可追溯到后魏时期，现存彩画多为清代和民国时期所做。辽宁彩画其结构丰富、图案繁多、色彩运用巧妙，具有宗教神秘色彩，形成了一种独有的庄重、肃穆的氛围。本文对辽宁庙宇、亭榭彩画进行简要概述。

Abstract:

Temple paintings in Liaoning have a long history, dating back to the later Wei Period. Most of the existing paintings were produced in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Liaoning color patterns painting has rich structure, various patterns, clever use of color, religious and mysterious color, forming a unique solemn atmosphere. This paper gives a brief overview of temples and pavilions in Liaoning.
