古代交通不发达，到名山大川去旅游很困难，只有少数人才可以办到。所以城市住宅内，就出现了模仿天然景色的庭院，小型的如庭院中点缀树、石、花、草等，大型的如园林，创造出能朝夕接近自然景色的庭院。

Abstract:

In ancient times, it was challenging to travel to famous mountains and great rivers because of underdeveloped communications. Only a few people could do it. Therefore, courtyards imitating natural scenery appear in urban residences. Small ones, such as courtyards decorated with trees, stones, flowers and grass, etc., and large ones, such as gardens, create conditions that can be close to natural scenery.
