厅堂是苏州古典园林的主体建筑，主要功能是接待宾客。厅堂内部空间宽敞，视线开阔，装修较端庄华丽，兼有观赏和配景的功能，位置偏向朝南。其构造形式常见的有四面厅，荷花厅、鸳鸯厅、花厅、船厅、纱帽厅、花篮厅。

Abstract:

Tingtang（center hall） is the main building of Suzhou classical garden. The main function is to receive guests, spacious internal space, wide line of sight, decoration is dignified and gorgeous, both ornamental and matching functions, the location of the south. Its structure form is common to have tetra hall, lotus hall, mandarin duck hall, flower hall, boat hall, gauze hat hall, flower basket hall.
