Abstract:The Dagao palace is located at the west end of Jingshan Front Street, Xicheng District, Beijing. It was built in 1542 and rebuilt in the 28th year of the Wanli Ming Dynasty. It is a Taoist royal temple of the Ming and Qing dynasties. There were three memorial archways and two ritual pavilions in front of the original gate, which suffered heavy damage when the Eight-power allied forces entered Beijing. After liberation, due to the needs of traffic development, they were all dismantled in 1953.
