我国古代建筑中应用最广泛、等级最高的装饰图案为“龙”的图案。“龙图腾”寓意吉祥。“龙戏珠”与天文学有关。“龙戏珠”中宝珠原指月亮，因与古代“阴阳”论之“阳刚阴柔”之义不符，变成了 “日之珠”。早期的图案为单龙戏珠，后出现了 “二龙戏珠”，图案变得更生动活泼、富有情趣。

Abstract:

The most widely used and highest graded decorative pattern in traditional Chinese architecture is the "dragon" pattern. "Dragon totem" means good luck. "Dragon playing with Orb" is related to astronomy. In "Dragon playing with Orb", Orb originally refers to the moon，and then it became the Orb of the Sun.. The early patterns were single dragons playing with Orb, and later "two dragons playing with Orb" appeared, making the patterns more harmonious and interesting.
