Abstract:Lin Zexu, a famous national hero in history, is buried in a plain mausoleum in the hills on the northern outskirts of Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province. Lin Zexu had been advocating reform during his thirty-eight years as an official in the Qing Dynasty. When he was governor of Huguang district, he banned on opium-smoking and the opium trade and destruction them. After his death, local people built his tomb and ancestral temple here for future generations to pay tribute to him.
