所谓八卦线，实际上就是在原木的两个端面上作出相对应的圆外切十六边相等的图形。前辈的匠师们多年的经验总结出放八卦线的以方求圆法，比现代的几何作图法还简单易行。并把这方法和作图时参数归纳成为口诀，以传留后世。

Abstract:

In fact, the eight tri-grams line is the equivalent figure of the 16 sides of the corresponding circle cut on the two ends of the original wood. Through years of experience, the older generation of craftsmen learned how to use the eight tri-grams line to find circles. This method and the parameters of drawing are summarized as simple formula to be handed down to later generations.
