Abstract:Denmark's beautiful old city, Libo, is the oldest city in Northern Europe. Before 700 AD, it became the largest port city in Denmark and the largest commercial port in the Middle Ages. The Libo Museum was founded in 1855 and its main task was to preserve the original appearance of the ancient city. The municipal government has made great efforts for the protection of the ancient city of Libo. Local residents become museum staff, making the city even more vibrant.
