法国作者米谢尔·伯德雷的著作《怪诞的中译本凡尔赛》写到，乾隆皇帝命令郎世宁神父在圆明园里建造了欧洲式样的宫殿，宫殿一部分为中国古典式，另一部分为波洛米尼或热那亚的府邸的风格，建造了许多喷泉、落瀑和水池、宫殿、亭子等。1860年英法联军抢劫了圆明园并烧毁了它。

Abstract:

A French writer, Michael Bordrey in his book --"The Grotesque Chinese Version of Versailles"wrote, Emperor Qianlong ordered lang shining in the old Summer Palace to build the European style of the palace. Part of the palace is in classical Chinese form. The other part is Borromini or Genoa's style, and built many fountains, waterfalls and pools. In 1860, Anglo-French allied forces looted the Old Summer Palace and burned it down.
