保定莲池

保定市内有著名的上谷八景，在八景中最引人注目的是“莲漪清艳”，也就是现在的保定古莲花池。保定古莲池是在唐代上元年间修建的。它的黄金时代是乾隆时期。莲池作为清代帝王悠游享乐的行宫，既有着南方园林的小巧精美、曲折蜿蜒，又有着北方的开朗、雄浑和质朴。保定古莲池的造园艺术可称为北方小型园林中的艺术佳品。

Abstract:

The Lotus Pond in Baoding was built in the Shang Yuan Period of the Tang Dynasty and was used as a palace for emperors to travel during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Lotus Pond has not only the delicacy and elegance of the southern garden, but also the grandeur and simplicity of the northern garden. It can be called the masterpiece of art in small gardens in the north.
