京西法海寺山门殿的明代彩画——（本期中心彩色插页）说明

Colored pattern of the Ming Dynasty in Fahai temple

京西法海寺始建于明代正统年间，明弘治年间又经修扩建，至今已有五百余年之久。由于年久失修，寺内保护较完整的建筑只剩大雄宝殿和山门殿。山门殿彩画为明代彩画，不点金，属于下五彩。

Abstract:

Fahai Temple in the west of Beijing was built in the Zhengtong reign of the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt and expanded in the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty. It has been more than 500 years. Due to years of disrepair, the temple to protect the integrity of the building only daxiong Hall and shanmen hall. Shanmen hall color patterns for Ming Dynasty style, not gold foil painting, belong to the low level colored pattern.
