费城华埠牌楼的设计

The design of the archway of Chinatown in Philadelphia

摘要:

美国费城第十街路口的中国式牌楼于1984年由北京古代建筑工程公司建成。这个牌楼是费城与天津市结成友好城市以后，由天津市与费城华埠发展委员会合资兴建。北京古建公司承接了设计和施工任务。在牌楼的设计之前，对中国传统形式的牌楼作了必要的了解，根据费城华埠的特定要求，在设计过程中，从技术设计、装饰设计等方面解决了一些具体问题，最终设计建造了两柱单跨的牌楼。

Abstract:

The Chinese-style archway at the corner of 10th Street in Philadelphia was built in 1984 by Beijing traditional Architectural Engineering Company. The archway was jointly built by Tianjin and the Chinatown Development Committee of Philadelphia after Philadelphia and Tianjin became sister cities.
