天宁寺位于河北省正定县，1982年，河北省古建队灵霄塔勘探组于塔的底层发现了塔基地宫。灵霄塔地宫位于塔基中部，地宫为砖砌的圆室直壁穹窿顶，地宫地面条砖铺墁，中部为土面。梁上砌穹窿顶，顶部内壁为清水砖平直作法，外壁为砖叠涩砌筑法。地宫不设门，仅有顶口。地宫内中央置一大型莲花形石函，函内又放置一长方形小石函。在莲花形石函盖上又放置一方形（近似斗体）的石函。莲花形石函体积之大、形像之美，在我国各地已出土的地宫石函中，实属罕见。地宫内出土的两件石函刻铭，为天宁寺灵霄塔的研究、重修提供了重要依据。

Abstract:

Tianning Temple is located in Zhengding County, Hebei Province. In 1982, the exploration group of traditional architecture in Hebei Province discovered the Underground palace at the bottom of the pagoda. Lingxiao tower underground palace is located in the middle of the tower, underground palace for brick dome top, underground palace ground brick shop plaister. There is a large lotus shaped Stone box in the center of the underground palace, which is very rare among the unearthed Stone boxes of underground palace in all parts of China. Two stone inscriptions unearthed in the palace provide an important basis for the study and reconstruction of lingxiao Pagoda in Tianning Temple.
