随着佛教传入日本，佛教寺庙建筑采用了圆柱和方柱，还使用了柱座。圆柱代替原木。角柱即方柱，是继圆柱以后的另一种柱的形式。在选材和工艺上都产生了积极的进步，人们在懂得了构造技术的同时，也注意到了材料的节约。房屋也逐步简朴起来。

Abstract:

The Square pillars, also known as Angle pillars, are different from columns. After the introduction of Buddhism to Japan, Buddhist temple architecture began to adopt the architectural form of column and Square pillars and column pedestal. The substitution of columns for logs has made positive progress in the selection of materials and technology of architecture, and also made people realize the importance of material conservation while mastering construction technology.
