略谈古代建筑的“倾壁”

A brief discussion on the "falling Wall" of Ancient Architecture

在我国古代建筑中，蕴藏着一种设计式样，就是将垂直墙面，故意做成斜墙面。按形取意叫它“倾壁”。“倾壁”在我国古代建筑中广泛流传。最早可追溯到新石器时代。“倾壁”的作用有防护、防卫、房屋内部扩大空间、增加艺术效果等。“倾壁”已在更多的外国建筑中运用，成为当代的“摩登”设计手法。

Abstract:

In traditional Chinese architecture, there is a design style called "Qing bi"which deliberately makes the vertical wall into inclined wall. "Qing bi" is widely spread in traditional Chinese architecture as dating back to the Neolithic Age. Its role is to protect, expand the interior space, increase the artistic effect and so on, has been used in more foreign buildings, become a contemporary architectural design techniques.
