中国古典园林常以山石为主景，有“无园不石”之说。自古以来，很多山石家的技艺手法值得我们继承和发展。每座石山在堆叠之前应有一个总体规划设想。堆石叠山地基必须牢固，范围应大于山体。山石施工过程中，分层处理，便于形成层次深远、富于变化的效果。码放山石力求紧靠牢稳、咬茬坚固，但也不可能完全严丝合缝。

Chinese classical gardens often take rockery and stone as the main scene. There is a saying that "No garden without stones". Since ancient times, the techniques of many rockery craftsmen have worth inheriting and developing. Each rockery or Stones should have a master plan before stacking it. The foundation must be firm, the range should be greater than the main part of rockery. In the process of rock construction, pay attention to stratification in order to form a profound and varied effect. Put the rock strive to close by steady, strong joints, but also can not be completely seamless.
