1980年，北京市第二房屋修缮工程公司成立了古建筑设计与技术研究室，从事古建筑传统技术的研究、整理、继承工作，并在本公司范围内对职工开展技术培训，提高职工的专业技术水平。《古建园林技术》杂志的创刊，为全国古建园林维修单位开辟了一个交流经验、提高古建施工技术和管理水平的园地，我公司将和全国兄弟单位共同交流古建传统工艺技术，研究古建修缮施工管理方面的经验教训，学习贯彻国家文物保护的方针政策，从而达到共同提高。
